Margaret Biggs

Former President, Canadian International Development Agency
Nonresident Senior Fellow, Center for Sustainable Development, Brookings Institution

Margaret previously served as President of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Board Chair of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and as Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet for Priorities and Planning, Privy Council Office.  She is an active contributor on issues related to Canada and global sustainable development and currently serves on the Boards of World University Service Canada (WUSC), the Canadian Partnership on Women and Children’s Health (CanWaCH) and the International Foundation on Electoral System (IFES); as well as Advisory Council for FinDevCanada.  Margaret is currently Matthews Fellow on Global Public Policy at Queen’s University and Nonresident Senior Fellow, Center for Sustainable Development, Brookings Institution.
