Anowa Quarcoo is an award-winning strategist and communicator. For over 14 years, she has worked with startups and established organizations to build for the future, tell their stories, and solve problems at scale. In addition to working at three levels of government, Anowa has also worked in retail, education, and Web3. In 2016, she co-founded Civic Tech Toronto, which is now one of the world’s largest civic hacking communities. Anowa has been named one of 30 inspirational women making a difference in tech by Toronto Metropolitan University’s Digital Media Zone (DMZ) among many other leadership and change-making accolades. She currently serves on CivicAction’s board as co-chair of the Emerging Leaders Network.
A lifelong learner, Anowa holds a Bachelor of Journalism, a Masters of Global Affairs, and an MBA. When she’s not at work, Anowa can be found painting, taking photos, or deejaying. She is moved by the words, “No one is coming, it’s up to us,” and brings a breadth of expertise and lived experience to the Sealy Coaching & Performance community of practice.
