Lyn-Marie is a coach, facilitator, and leader whose work is centered around helping people own and tell their stories, transforming perspectives and revealing all the ways in which they contribute to their personal power. For over 10 years, Lyn worked in the higher education sector – in Student Services – leading impactful projects and building purposeful student development programs and teams. Throughout her career, she has developed community and learning programs for thousands of students and developed strategic objectives centred around equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging. Lyn-Marie was born and raised in the beautiful island of Barbados. She came to Canada as an international student and completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of Guelph in Hispanic Studies and Leadership respectively. In 2018, driven by a pursuit of purposeful learning and a passion for coaching, Lyn became a certified Gallup CliftonStrengths coach. She brings a wholehearted approach and calm energy to the Sealy Coaching & Performance community of practice to focus on helping student researchers navigate change. She is focused on supporting student researchers with evidence-based interventions so that they can hone habits that stick.
